Back in 2007, I got my first job at this grocery store. They had a coinstar machine and ATM next to each other. I had read somewhere about a trick where you can avoid coinstars fee by unplugging the cable thing in the back, then dump your change and request gift card, and it wouldn't be able to connect and then give you a receipt with no fee.
So I tried it, didnt work, whatever. Few days or so later, I saw a guy servicing the ATM, had the thing opened up and looked like he was running diagnostics or some shit. I wonder if I accidentsly unplugged the ATM? I hope I did lol, that would be funny if the dude wasted a bunch of time fucking around and then disco ered it was just unplugged.

[my enumerable hindi guideword]
I used to break into coke machines back when I was a junkie. My toolkit? 5x11 HEX head screws, a matching ratchet, and a hammer. Ratchet the screw in the keyhole almost all the way, leaving just enough to smack with the hammer. Then smack HARD on it. It breaks the tumblers and the turn-key pops out. Twist it many times and open the door, jack the change/bills and sodas if you want.
Well, I was doing that once, and had to abort in the middle of it. Left an obvious screw left in it. I watched as the days passed and they replaced the machine with one that had the steel bar over the keyhole and a camera above it. Hah.
Also, if you want coinstar, open a bank account. Most banks have them these days. I can cash in my change at my bank, using a Coinstar machine, for no fee.
