Why is hedonism pointless but learning is not?
I mean, the whole point of hedonism is that it is enjoyable/pleasurable. Doesn't seem pointless to be happy. Might be meaningless in some sort of grand scheme of things but that doesn't really matter when you're enjoying the moment.
Learning could be considered hedonistic if it's something you enjoy doing. It could also be considered pointless if mankind or the universe itself is destined for doom and everything we worked for and all the knowledge we gained was in vain.
