im trying to quit weed because ive been on a shitload of thc from dabs and edibles for like 2 fuckin years now and the cumulative effects of never being sober were starting to make me go all manic and slightly delusional and shit like im losing my fuckin mind.

anyways, the last day i smoked was the 2nd and i was actually normal for a couple days but since then ive been sleeping like a few hours a night and keep waking up drenched in sweat. anyone ever go through this? how long is it going to take to go away? i got shit to do and cant keep going off 3 hours of sleep every goddamn night

Also, I just used this nifty lil feature of the TeamWin Recovery Project theme on my phone to change the TWRP splash screen to an HD pic of a fat tasty looking dank nugget. But yeah, valium...not xanax or klonopin, as nice as they are. Valium. Diazepam. Uncle Toker's Olde Tyme Cure Allâ„¢

I know that feeling all too well, buddy. Weed is crazy addictive to me, I don't give a shit what anybody says. I usually get a crazy manic high on my third or second sober day but then the bullshit starts. Sport helps the most in my opinion. Also rolling with the anger and embracing the hate towards everything so I can use that as fuel for my engine. KnowImsayn. It's not that bad, though. It's no Guantanamo style torture. But almost.

Oh, I forgot the tips. I can't make paragraphs with my shit phone for whatever reason so it will look a bit fucked up.

Terpenes can help a lot in my experience. Things that smell like weed tastes. A study found out that terpene enriched THC is a lot stronger than THC on its own. Lemonoil for example. Malice vaped some and said he felt a noticable difference. I wouldn't vape it, though. LOL. Just getting a couple deep breaths with it. Also lavender, the indica version. It really works but it's mild.

Paracetamol modulates the endogenous Cannabinoid Anandamide. It helps the best with withdrawal related muscle tension in my opinion. I also feel like it dulls the withdrawal a bit but that could be placebo. Whatever, though. I'll still take it.

Dark chocolate and a bunch of other foods also stimulate Anandamide. They are all.just minor remedies but better than nothing. Physical excercise helps a lot, though.

Can't say I really understand being "addicted" to weed, but I guess everyone is different. I will say that tolerance breaks or cutting back past a certain point is a certain kind of difficult, although not from any particular impulse to smoke but mostly because it's so accessible and has pretty limited drawbacks (for most people I think).

Anyway, you can force yourself back into a good sleep schedule, if you need to just take a sedative before sleep for a while. Smoking yourself to sleep usually results in crappy sleep anyway.

^ a lot of people have a mental addiction, and become depressed without it. They use it as a crutch to fufill their boredom. Personally , over the last 12 months I've only smoked maybe 4 times tops and I know longer crave it the way I did for years, and I get way higher when I do smoke and I don't spend tons of money on it.

Y'know what's crazy, though? I also smoked syncans for I'd say, 6 to 8 months every day and went back to only weed without any problems. The feeling of quitting speed was a blessing compared to what I get from weed as well.

^yeah quitting speed was pretty easy for me. Evehing heroin was easy for me to quit compared to the pot. Same thing with cigs. Alcohol is the drug I've had the most problem quitting. I associate it with so many feels. (even though I once did quit for a year several years ago)

I guess I've just never had any good syncans that made me want to keep smoking them compulsively. It either felt like a weak ass weed high that left a lot left to be desired. Or it got me so high that I was incredibly paranoid and nothing was fun about it.

I know that there are new kinds that do different things. For about most of the month of December I watched Bradley B smoke syncans out of a foil pipe.. nodding off like a heroin addict.. syncans never did that to me.

I thought I had responded to this.

The negative effects of cannabis, especially high doses and from chronic use, are widely overlooked. Due to the way the majority of people think they simply fluctuate between extremes. They realize what the obviousness of the drug war propaganda, and then simply switch to the other polar end. Weed was ridiculously demonized, so now it's natural, it's not a drug, it's (just) a plant, it's good for you, medicinal, compare it to the effects of a commonly accepted legal drug, alcohol (contrast changes nothing about its effects, if you compare heroin to cyanide, it's going to look pretty damn good by comparison). People mindlessly accept anything positive they hear about it and hemp.

As for your sleep, I don't know the mechanism by which it does so, but cannabis seems to effect sleep, sleep architecture. Reports regularly indicate that it may remove or greatly decrease REM (dreaming), possibly the ability to remember it as well, which could skew perceptions. A rebound effect is also commonly noted, which is likely what you're experiencing. Even if you don't remember vivid dreams/nightmares, you may still be experiencing very light stages of sleep with some activity, anxiety related, that causes you to awaken prematurely.

That always got under my skin. I remember a 19 year old kid telling me it cured alcoholism LOL WUT? Anyways, as for the sleep thing OP I usually downed a 12 pack or more of beer several times a week for about a decade so sleeping sober was a nightmare for me as well. I started taking Melatonin I'd suggest nothing over 2 or 3 mg though, maybe 5 if you want to be knocked out cold within the next half hour-45 minutes. The best source I've found is chelated capsules I use the GNC brand they are pricey for what they are but they seem to actually work and do what they are supposed to.

I definitely does affect sleep, I've noticed that when I'd smoke I never had any dream recall, I guess thats where they got the propaganda phrase "pot kills your dreams" But it literally does.

And yeah I have a buddy who tells me I need to quit drinking (which I should, but thats pretty much the only drug I do) He smokes cigs, vapes, and smokes weed all day every day. doesn't ever even get laid, or have a real job except tyring to sell stuff he has "picked" that no one wants.

I even worked at a place where my co-workers, thought it was weird I wanted to have a shiner bock with my tacos while we were clocked out at a restaurant even though they all smoked weed in front of me before we left like some kinda cult ritual and I didn't say shit.

I realized I like smoking weed every now and then, but I prefer to drink.

Damn, wish that worked for me. Melatonin is like only vaguely noticeable to me, I've tried every dose from 1 to 10mg and 5 is always the strongest sedative effects for me (too much and you end up awake all night) and even then it's still not easy to sleep without something else in the mix. I usually don't even bother since prolonged use makes me feel super depressed for some reason.

Obbe Alan What? [annoy my right-angled speediness]
    I recently bought a PAX2:

"More powerful, but remarkably power efficient. A deeper oven allowing a satisfyingly consistent draw. An elegant, ergonomically redesigned mouthpiece that senses the presence of your lips. A more efficient battery, and intelligent heating and cooling systems to optimize usage. An elegant anodized aluminum surface and integrated LED indicator."

So far I'm very satisfied with it.
