back then I spent equal mixing/recording time but I used to do all my music and such exclusively on benzedrex so it probably sounded better high, next day i realized how terrible it was
nowadays I just record neccesary tracks in audacity, put together all the tracks in audacity with no mixing, send to fl studio and do final mixing/mastering, compressor, stereo fix, panning tracks, eq. used to overdo it so tracks sounded too tinny and artificial, now I just do the bare minimum-
