Also I did the canals all wrong in this base. The useful ones are the ones that cut through narrow bits of the island. The one that runs longways down the middle is completely useless. Also canals should be at least 4 wide so you can park your boat, and have a footpath/"side walk" on either side with lanterns.
That's the only lesson I am drawing from any of this. -

- making big houses, that are sometimes a bit messy.
- building incredibly long, epic, twisting rail lines
I remember when I played with fona for ages and he had like this whole district railway setup. There were like 5 bases and we had to give them names to describe where we were. I've had commutes to work shorter than the distance between some of these stations. It was nuts. THEN SOME FAGS GRIEFED US. -
