That article reads dishonest, and is full of rhetoric and short on facts. It's full of anger too. It's kind of refreshing to hear that sort of dishonesty coming from someone who isn't a jedi.
Yes, he is cutting costs, but pulling troops back is good, the US only keeps small amounts of troops in all these places as trip-wire forces, they're not even supposed to defend themselves, just die to win sympathy. Like how US troops in Korea weren't even expected to stop Kim's troops, just get killed in such huge numbers that the US would have an excuse for war. Dangerous policy.
But America right now is like a parent, and all these different interests are like spoiled children pulling at it for money and favours, even as America goes deeper and deeper into debt. What happens when America gives up and either goes bankrupt, dies, or locks the kids out of the house?
I watched a lecture by some soi disant self declared foreign policy whizz bemoaning how Americans keep voting for the most unknowledgeable presidents when it comes to international affairs, as if that was due to some weird accident or lack of information. Well it's not. Americans don't want some whizz kid to get them into wars, they want to close down the empire and work on their homes.

Libertarianism is pretty much dead right now, Demographic shift, identity politics and Left-Libertarianism (which was just identity politics in drag) killed it. That's why there is a libertarianism to alt-right pipeline - kids start off as libertarians, and wind up being alt-right. It's just a logical progression. Maybe if you had an ethno-state of more or less equals you could have libertarianism, but then why would you want it?
And you're right about Libertarianism being a movement of useful idiots, it was basically nothing but a jedi con job right from the beginning anyway - all the Libertarian thinkers were well connected jedis working for rent gouging landlords and other rentiers, and they didn't practice what they preached - von Mises, Hayek, Rand, etc. Even guys like Greenspan.
I wouldn't really class Ron Paul as a thinker in the same sense, more the dumb goy. -

This is true, and don't forget that efficiency just isn't a concern in Africa.
That's why NGOs will find some village without a well, build a well, then 6 months later the well is fouled up and people are walking 6 hours to the watering hole again. Or same shit but with farm equipment.
It doesn't matter, efficiency simply isn't a factor in Africa. They have all the time in the world. -
