I've been reading a series of books that would be appropriate for early teens and everyone else.
Syfy but without bad language and violence.
12 books in all cheap on the kindle fun stuff.

Any book by Robert Munch is great! Super fun and creative plots with fun drawings to go with. Also, there's the Fudge Series, funny and entertaining collection of short novels Such as " Fudge O Rama" And "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing"

i kind o like those short poem books for children as well. Like that one " Where the Sidewalk Ends " I used to get superspun and write in pen over the blank spaces on pages, usually just opinionated comments and a bit of my own poetic additions to the book .

oooh I just remembered, an amazing and touching children's book called "The Tiger Rising". Very odd premiss but definitely the type of book that could be finished in one seating.

Honorable mentions: "There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom" "The Adventures of Captain Underpants" "Jade Green" and how could I forget , the horrifying yet humorous tales of the Baudelaire orphans. I have read all 13 books in this Series of Unfortunate Events...twice

The guy is either trying to troll half the time or just posts whatever bullshit comes into his head without thinking and then doesn't want to admit when he's wrong. I can't figure out which

  4. I'm gonna have to side with hydro on this one, she does use a lot of drugs but generally has a pretty rational and level headed viewpoint on things. §m£ÂgØL pretty much sounds like he just makes shit up as he goes along and isn't really ever able to articulate why.

Jesus Christ RisiR and Kinkou get a room or something. An IRC or TC room and call it Blud_und_Schwantz or Meine_Schwantz_Heisst_Treue because this TRT romancing shit is making me want to vomit.

    Thank you.

She watches Boku no Hero?!?! What a lucky man, it sounds like you found a rare one, such a high quality life partner.

This makes swinging with you far more tempting... I would love to watch the best animes with her, especially new episodes on Saturday.

People can have radically different interest, vary immensely, can’t you understand that? You seem to be more of the drier STEM major male type. You’re also a father, which inadvertently makes you incrementally far more boring the longer you’ve been one.

Heh, on the bus and I began practicing holding the stomach vacuum, then I recalled the recent scene from Boku no Hero where Deku has been holding the old school “air chair” exercise position for the entire class. You just press your back against the back of the seat and lift your body upward, off the seat, supporting yourself with your legs. The movement and instability of the bus makes it much better.

    2. Just from context, unless you are autistic, you should be able to infer that these are people who are accomplished in their fields.

A touché, that was good. I don't know who the heck those people are that you mentioned but I get the gist from context that Conor is some type of professional athlete?

And in most activities I would agree, you are right., I didn't think about this before but your argument totally makes sense. However, I noticed the examples you had are two very common "human measured activities" regarding skill. Athletics and video games. . But there are things that someone can be good at that's not so easily measured.

For example: Sometimes someone has a knack of cheering people up. Lots of people tend to feel awkward or uncomfortable around someone crying, but then there's that guy, the slow and uncoordinated one, the guy that's a total klutz. He'll know what to do, he reads people so well and has a skill in always saying the right thing. He is a people person, socially advanced, but he has butter fingers and can't do much more than repeatedly walk into walls & shoot his own teammate when attempting to play Hallo.

This guy could apply his skills in socialization to become a salesman or guidance counselor. I'm sure there are other examples of skills one can have that are more based on intuition and empathy rather than hand eye coordination, and practice..

There are some things that are hard or impossible to quantify, of course. Even just in sports, between these phenomenally athletic pros, there are differences in just their "game", nobody can really quantify exactly what it is but it's "there".

For example Lionel Messi is the best footballer (soccer player) in the world, and one of the greatest players to ever touch the game. Cristiano Ronaldo is the second best player in the world, and also one of the greatest to ever touch the game, and would be considered an era-defining once-in-a-generation talent if Messi wasn't even better. Messi is athletically worse than CR7. But he is still better. He has an "it" factor that makes him absolutely unstoppable. You can't quantify it.

However, whatever that attribute is, it exists, no matter how hard it is to quantify it. And sometimes... people just suck at everything. They might have no charisma, low confidence, no discipline, terrible self-assessment skills etc.

Now I would agree MOST people have enough "going on" to be decent at something, and you just have to find it though.
