   My parents would throw parties and I was instructed to stay in a back bedroom and watch tv and ....eventually fall asleep like any good child. Well...
   
   I 'was' a good child, lol..but overly curious! I always snuck outta the bedroom and would hunch down at the darkened hallway where I could get a good view of the scene. Those are lovely memories I'll never forget! The wine glasses clinking, the laughter, the music...dancing...the soft lights glowing on their happy faces.....

   I read the book in the summer of '84 (not ironically, lol). I found lots of it inaccurate of course at the time, and a trifle disturbing, lol
