Lanny, some time ago you mentioned that a coworker used a fidget cube during meetings, which may have annoyed you due to the sound (This has silent options, so it shouldn't be an issue.). Do you know if this was the kind he used?
This is exactly what I want. It's absolutely perfect for fidgeting in class. I absolutely hate sitting still in one position for extended periods.
Going to search for best options. Just saw a 12 sided fidget "cube"! This is so exciting, the most I've felt all day.
I've even thought about eventually carrying some sort of mat with me along with cute girly soft and somewhat fluffy high socks (to create a positive association due to many people being grossed out by feet, usually due to the association with their own filthy bodies, socks, and shoes, and their imbecilic habit of presumption, despite me having impeccable hygiene due to my severe OCD routine (Soap, exfoliation with small grater, rinse, soap, pumice stone, rinse, soap, Non-Scratch Scotch-Brite, rinse, dry, clear gel deodorant. Shoe insoles disinfected regularly by adding hot water, laundry detergent, and bleach, then rinsing it out and soaping again with good concentrated dish soap (Kroger brand is by far the best) to rinse out any residual cleaning material easily.).
That way I could sit the way I normally due, on the seat, as opposed to legs off, usually on one my feet, tucked under me, with the other sole on the seat, leg bent at knee and pointing up. There's also leg bent at knee toward right/left and the other in the sole knee up position, foot behind the other ankle. The classic cross legged/meditative position. Finally the eminent L position, which I assure you I did not adapt due to Death Note, where I simply squat on the seat. -

I'm about to attend college this month! Do you know how incredibly severe the problems I had were? What my past was like? I lapsed into severe depression 5 years ago, although I didn't realize the signs at the time because I didn't know what I do now. 3 years ago I finally had a severe mental breakdown that incredibly fucked me up. It took me this long to find an effective treatment. Unfortunately many people with treatment resistant depression and other issues, particularly something like autism, either never find an effective treatment or it can take them over a decade because most psychiatrists only hand out piece of shit SSRIs.
The autism spectrum can make your life a living hell. Unbelieveable constant suffering and hardship.
I had to be my own doctor, nutritionist, psychologist, neurologist, psychiatrist, physical trainer, ASD specialist etc. and figure out everything, how to navigate the world, what to do with my life, completely on my own. That's a major part of why I obsessed over these subjects, locked myself away for years and read all day, searching for the best sources of information; to solve all the problems I had.
At least I survived. I'm honestly amazed I'm even alive right now.
And I can go outside daily and function just fine right now, I have been preparing myself, engaging in self-therapy.
So we'll have to wait and see whether I actually can excel. You wouldn't know this because you never read any of my posts and constantly insult and belittle me. -

2017-08-02 at 8:48 PM UTC in The Retarded Thread: Click Here for AIDSBTW Lanny, I wrote an extensive monetary analysis of you, along with a section of critical paths in life to avoid. It's also a good elucidation of why gold diggers should/could specifically target you, something to be cautious for. This would be a much bigger issue if you ever dressed the part and didn't have potato farmer aesthetics (Well, you actually look fairly handsome in some of the pics you've posted, such as the dual fidget spinner one. Your hair in particular looked nicer than the others I've seen.).

Originally posted by Captain Falcon Yes, I know, it is very easy for you to talk top shit over the internet.
But everybody knows what's going to happen if I ever roll into town with an intention to fight; you haven't even worked up the balls to go meet Lanny who lives in the Bay Area, you're not coming out to fight shit. And then you'll try to rationalize it.
Not that any of that matters; I'm not in the business of getting assault charges for beating the living daylights out of an autistic weeb who thinks anime has prepared him for a fight.
What are you talking about? I literally did meet Lanny about two months ago and had no problem doing so.
I'm not going to avoid it because this is something I genuinely want to do, have an immense desire to do. You deserve, no, need to be beaten and humiliated by someone like me.
There won't be assault charges because it will be mutual combat and done in a location where we wouldn't be seen by others. I would refuse to press charges, even prepare a lie beforehand to get you out of it. "We were just filming a video" would likely work. At worst they'd call us idiots and let us off, maybe a relatively small fine. The police in the Bay Area are lax as fuck and a large percentage of the time they don't even show up for things like this, they have far more important things to care about, especially in SF where there are constant crimes, tons of career criminals and insane homeless people.
Stop making excuses. You're the one who's afraid, and it's pathetic. You honestly don't think you can win against a 5'8 150lb autistic shut-in who's incredibly out of shape due to not working out in 2 years and literally has no actual fight experience? If it's clear that the fight is too easy for you, just toy around with me and humiliate me, show me how weak and deluded I am, which will be a good lifelong lesson. If I'm getting beaten too badly, simply stop.
You have no solid argument against this. It's pure cowardice. Pathetic. -

No, I don't want to work and don't have any real reason to right now. I want to focus on other things.
Hell, given that I live in California and qualify as having all these attributes:
Originally posted by Malice Anyway, building on a thought I’ve had before: I’m an “under represented minority”, first generation college student, come from a poor family and qualify as being unbelievably poor as fuck for the Bay area in particular, qualify as considerably disabled due to literally being autistic, have a vast array of (severe) mental illnesses, have been estranged from any family for a decade+, there are numerous serious aspects of my life that qualify me for extenuating circumstances, yet I’m still classified as gifted/with an unusually high IQ and capable of scoring extremely high on standardized tests like the SAT and ACT as well as achieving a high GPA.
Hahaha, in two years I would absolutely love to see where I’m capable of being accepted, whether I can scam any full rides, possibly scholarships (Can I spend the money on whatever the fuck I want?).
Jesus christ life has been so fucking way for me, in a way. It’s amazing how much I’ve been able to slack off and profoundly fuck up my life, yet still easily weasel out of it and coast through.
I’m such a terrible person.
I'll probably get paid to go to school, along with SSI. What a sweet deal. Why the hell would I fuck it up by working an unpleasant demeaning soul-crushing and excruciatingly mind rotting/torturing dull job, which would rob me of countless hours, just to end up in a worse position than I am now?
It's a classic case of the welfare trap/perverse incentives. Conservatives were right, it does make you complacent and dependent.
I'm riding the gravy train straight out of the welfare office. I LOVE welfare. Working is for chumps. -

2017-08-02 at 6:19 AM UTC in The Retarded Thread: Click Here for AIDShttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resource_curse
Economic growth does not necessitate an abundance of resources, it is reliant on increasing efficiency, productivity. The view that it is primarily reliant on resources is an antiquated theory that has been thoroughly disproven.
Look at South Korea, it was one of the countries lowest in resources, had horrendous poverty and a low level of development, yet their growth was explosive and relatively rapidly reached the level it has today. Multiple other examples. -
2017-08-02 at 6:16 AM UTC in Animals, brehOh fuck, I knew I might be forgetting something. I did think of aquatic animals, but of course they wouldn't have any need to use cups. I actually thought of whether you'd bring up the possibility of a snake using its tail, or some other animal with a prehensile tail.
No, actually, I'm not wrong because that isn't natural behavior. It's learned and those cups are given to them, they aren't something they created themselves or found in the wild. This is solely enabled by human intervention.
My logic is impregnable. I want your heart. I want to eat your future children. -

My bad.
Originally posted by aldra quality of life within a society reduces violence, but quality of life typically cannot be raised without exploiting and increasing the level of violence in anothehr
This is completely false. Economic growth is not a zero sum game. There's a vast amount of literature on this. Unfortunately this horrendous misconception is ubiquitous.
Originally posted by Captain Falcon Yep. Pretty much the whole MO of colonial Europe was to fuck an entire country's shit up while extracting as many resources as humanly possible.
AHA! Therein lies the crux of the flaw in your logic! It's such a simple mistake.
What need is there to divide groups on the basis of race, ethnicity, culture, or nation? It is far more rational to simply view it as man committing atrocities toward man. It follows that as these groups were committing far more harm to themselves, by your logic would they not be far more to blame for their own suffering? What difference does an "exogenous" force being the culprit make? How is it more unethical than an endogenous force?
Even in modern times, simply look at the horror that is Africa. Do you genuinely believe that even without the intervention of Whites they would not be in a similar state? Let us go further, regardless of the harm caused by whites as a group, there have also been immense benefits that have spread to nearly all people. There are countless examples of this. Can it truly be said that the net effect on utility/suffering has been far inferior to other groups?
This is logically unjustifiable. A flaw such as this does not even warrant an extensive exposition. I win again, philosophical savant in the making.

2017-08-02 at 5:02 AM UTC in THE OFISH 2017 COLLAGE THREAD!!!I know, right? Why can't he give some to me? Just 5K would be great, that's nothing to him. He clearly barely even cares if I suffer, regardless of how much. I guarantee you he'd be willing to just let me die and state it isn't his problem, while claiming to be a virtuous leftist.

2017-08-02 at 5:01 AM UTC in Animals, brehHow the fuck would any animals without opposable thumbs even use them?
No, monkeys/primates don't naturally use cups. They're too dumb. -
2017-08-02 at 4:58 AM UTC in The Retarded Thread: Click Here for AIDSNope, even if you only look at the WW2 period Whites/Europeans have never been particularly violent compared to other civilizations. Humans in general have always been barbaric, and there's an immense amount of evidence supporting this.
This is nothing but a commonly perpetuated and blindly accepted myth that aligns with the leftist narrative, immense leftist biases.
Just about that simple, at its core. -

Personally, I don't like physical. A good e-reader should be satisfactory for most who dislike screens, once they become accustomed. Then again, I am unusually driven by reason, so I don't have any attachment based on emotion or habit. Your call, though.
I really regret not keeping a list of every book I read and valued. I specifically did this because at the time I felt there would be no use for it other than convey my preferences to others, which I had no interest in, and is something that would have likely never occurred.
