Originally posted by aldra not exactly a serious post, but it seems to me to be more logical to be concerned about what happens to your body after you die rather than your consciousness - your body's the only part empirically proven to continue to exist.
I mean, you make a decent point, but it's no good to you anymore, so I feel like it's whatever -
2017-05-16 at 7:56 AM UTC in Fucking chirping birds motherfucker!Get a statue of an owl or large bird and put it in your window, like they put out on docks to keep birds from shutting on them. You can get a cheap one st a fleet farm or Menards or something.

No way dude what if they can bring you back for another round? And if they can't or won't? Who cares? You're not in it anymore, so it hardly matters. They're getting more use out of it then you.
Not trying to be a dick, genuinely curious: are you an organ donor? -

You see this guy? Original trianglist, probably doesn't even have his own drug induced unifying theory and he is leaps and bounds beyond you all.
There is still hope yet.
I do sorta have a theory. Check the thread I just posted -
2017-05-16 at 7:37 AM UTC in What happens when you die? Best and worst case scenarioSure an endless paradise, a perfect existence of joy and ecstasy would be great, but I believe pain is fundamental to the human condition. We'll always find it, and if we can't we'll create it. I think it's be cool if when we does we would be given our choice of who we want to live as next, and when, to occupy that person's space, feel their struggles and joys, and their eventual death, a d when you come back to that great void from whence you came your soul is further enriched, a d the experiences you gained in the life just lived is added to all the past ones and your wisdom, empathy, and soul grow, until you've lived every possible life, and a few impossible ones. You'll have experienced everything, all joys and pains possible, and then you can leave for the great paradise, capable of fully appreciating it. Maybe you could go there earlier, and ideally you could return to live again at some time to relearn the pains and joys of mmortality. Maybe you can converse with other souls, swap stories or experiences of vest lives and times to live, how they did it, or what you did different. Or maybe you're just alone, and there is only one of us, and I've lived your life, and you've lived mine, be sure we are the same. Maybe this soul knowledge could be tapped through rigorous meditation, or perhaps psychedelics. Maybe both.
Worst case scenario would be just nothing. No more feeling. Even eternal suffering would be better. At least you persist and can feel.
I don't know. Thoughts? Hopes? Opinions? -

2017-05-16 at 7:18 AM UTC in I want to die so badlyBruh if you're dead you can never go to space and farm astroweed on your meteor based farm, retire after a long day of work to slam your beautiful robot/alien wife.
Or augment your puny human body
Really those are two pretty good reasons to hang around -

Just like I like it

Think about it this way. There is comfort in faith, and community, and hope, I'm a world where there is increasingly less. Guidelines keep your actions good and in check for people who may have difficulty otherwise.
And if I'm wrong? I end up in the same dirt as you, fam (assuming I don't help colonize space and smoke weed on an asteroid with my lovely robot/alien wife). I win either way, and there is a joy in that.
The hope and knowledge that you have some cosmic homie, is good shit.
I imagine God probably gas a good sense of humor, in addition to being infinitely forgiving. Talk about a bro -
2017-05-16 at 5:59 AM UTC in why is satan so mean?A simple a swer is lucifer, the angel of light, thought too highly of hinself. He was vain, and thought himself the most beautiful being in existence. He was beautiful, and very smart, but in challenging God and his wisdom, he was removed from his station, and took residence elsewhere.
All things do as God created them though, Satan included. He yet performs his duty as angel of light, and still true to tempt the foolish mortals, for his own vanity and to prove his power
In the end though God will save more then Satan will claim and Satan will fail again. -

2017-05-16 at 5:34 AM UTC in Cataclysm: Dark Days AheadI've been playing this recently. It's developed by whoever wants to work on it, and is completely free. It's an ASCII graphics dog using hardcore d&d style roleplay. Top down "turn based" and everything calculated by dice rolls. In cataclysm pretty much every major apocalypse scenario plays out at once, you begin at the beginning of the end, and just have to sort things out for yourself. There are no real goals or end state, but people may offer you quests to leaf you through interesting parts of the land. Everyone's game will be different, and no two players play the same. Huge amounts of weapons, mutations, and augments will make each story different, and that's barely scratching the surface. It is a roguelike, so death is final, but the game offers a host of tools to curb the bullshit.
I wanted to share it here, because I figured someone else may enjoy it. There is a bit of a learning curve, but the community is incredibly helpful, and new mods come out regularly.
I've been playing a lot of this, and I hope someone else enjoys it like I have. If you have any questions, I'm happy to help! -
