   the idea of BIOS was to have a light, barebones system to control boot flow and hardware initialisation - more intensive operations could be loaded afterwards. there's no real benefit to moving general code execution into that pre-boot area; it just creates more surface area for attacks without the ability to use the regular memory protection mechanisms

    Egypt - Israel has issued an immediate warning for their citizens to leave Sinai, citing ISIS terrorist threats. Given that they've never been bitten as far as I know and their direct and indirect support for anyone fighting the Syrian government, I'd guess the real reason is something else entirely.

    I'd be more worried about Google's caching datacentres - they essentially cache pages and stuff in different locations so that you can load information quicker; ie. when you try to go to loldongs.com you end up with a high-speed google cache of it instead - essentially allowing them to control access to sites and potentially modify the data that people see

    1. there's something like 5000 ISIS members in Mosul I believe and that doesn't take other affiliated militias or 'allied' citizens into account
    2. majority of the combat-aged men have either been executed or drafted into ISIS (or on a European vacation) meaning that the remainder are mostly women, children and elderly
    3. ISIS are experts at using fear and religious repression for control
    4. groups of people are kept isolated and cannot communicate with each other, let alone able to organise a general uprising
