typical price for an album on bandcamp is like $7-$15 and the bulk of it goes to the musician so I'm ok with buying stuff there if it's good. also they offer FLAC downloads of everything which is nice -

best option is bandcamp, the musicians get a much higher split than other high-profile places like apple and amazon music and the like, but it tends to cater more to the 'indie' crowd for a few reasons -

I've done all of those things and never seriously injured myself seriously that way
I have a few stories like when I (am pretty sure I) got drugged in hong kong, slashed my face open and 'came to' on the top floor of some office building with blood all over the elevator panel like I'd spent an hour trying and failing to press the button, or when I blacked out, did a lot of dumb shit and smashed my face open trying to run away from the hospital
in both cases I didn't do any serious damage, just lost a good deal of blood and had to sleep it off for a few days to make more -
