There are about a million videos to back this up. If cops didnt have guns they would be forced to do things differently and yeah sometimes they would die but mostly they wouldnt.
Like that hotel hallway video in Vegas where the dude spends an hour playing Simon says with a kid laying on his stomach and then eventually kills him. There were about 100 opportunities where the 10 cops could've literally just went up to him and cuffed him, but they made it all weird and ended up killing him.
One of the best stand off videos I've ever seen was a man in the middle of an intersection I think. There were 20-30 cops with guns out. The man had a knife or something. They finally get close to him and rush him, take the knife away, and instead of taking him down the cop closest to him actually hugged him. They knew the man was mentally ill and were relieved he didn't kill himself or get himself killed. Wish more situations like that ended the same way.

Im honestly not sure. Considering my hands get shaky when I get angry and my heart rate goes up , when start talking shit- I don't consider myself a "brave" person. That said, every single time in my life where there's been an occasion to put myself in harms way for someone else, I've done it. Fights, getting shot at, jumping into a rip current to save someone, jumping off a boat, dragging a friend off a live transformer (?) box, etc. CA doesn't have open carry though, and I'm not near as fast or strong as I was 10 years ago, so I'd probably just die in the attempt. That's okay with me though. I think.
But yeah whenever I hear about a school shooting. I'm always puzzled as to why more people don't try to subdue the shooter.

Nope...the setup of the spreadsheet took an amount of time yes but that was done years ago now...it's simply a case of typing in a few numbers every time I spend something now and the functions on the spreadsheet does the rest...litterally seconds a day..assuming I spend anything that day.
