That said, the only reference to Mol being diagnosed in 1999 that I could easily find was an uncited reference to a Rzeczpospolita article on the wikipedia page dedicated to him. I did a little googling, but I don't read Polish and google translate isn't exactly perfect. I couldn't find anything. So maybe he didn't know. Maybe it was politically motivated. *shrug* -

While it's true on paper, I'm pretty sure that's just a myth. Laws are made by plutocrats and political technocrats (that is to say, experts in politics) to serve various interests - seldom the public's. And if the public's interests are being served, it's almost invariably tangential to the true motivation: which is self-serving political interest on the part of lawmakers themselves, who are beholden every few years to the whims of the public.
The public only gets to speak once every 4 years or so. -

If YouTube was a physical location, this would still be totally legal though. They're allowed to kick people off their property (as long as it isn't motivated by discrimination against a protected group) and they're allowed to deny their services to people. -

People instinctively side with the powerful over the weak. It's logical that they do. If you're a mud farmer somewhere, it's not a good idea to stand up for your neighbour against the local lord. Being a submissive little toady is literally baked into people's DNA.
Count Dankula isn't Google. He was using 2 Google platforms, and now he's being denied access to one of them because he's edgy and they don't want their advertising program to be associated with edgy content. He should be thankful that he's not being denied access to the both of their platforms. They aren't depriving him of free speech, they're depriving him of pay that he only conditionally ever had a right to. :/ -

Google isn't obligated to advertise on every video. Being part of the AdSense program isn't some god given right. Essentially, google is the advertiser here. -

It was pretty reasonable, honestly. I mean... he's right. Compelling youtube to put ads on his videos/compelling advertisers to allow it would be the much bigger violation. Maybe not of free speech, but it's a far greater overreach of authority as far as I'm concerned. And I mean, really... at least his channel is still up. Not that youtube has any obligation to keep it that way.
Mumkey Jones got cucked out of existence by youtube's bullshit... his Elliot Rodger videos pretty explicitly condemned what Elliot did, but youtube said they were glorifying a mass shooter or some shit. That's some shit to get upset about because it's not even like he did anything wrong. Dank makes edgy shitposter videos that most advertisers probably wouldn't want to be associated with. There's a reason totse pretty much only ran ads for tshirt hell and fake IDs - most advertising companies aren't jumping at the chance to get into bed with edgy content.
