I can't believe that was cheaper to make. drilling tiebacks to bolt freestanding pilon for support of a roadway that looks questionably safe.
they spent probably a billion in research on how to make a more affective drill like the one they use in the Chunnel. they used that same device to bore number 4 bore in the Caldicott near me
they have the driller built and easily to rent for service. if it was a cost issue I bet the owners would have lowered the price.
