He's one of the biggest voices discussing how dangerous and suicidal US foreign policy is at the moment and he was headed to talk at a Russian security conference, seems pretty obvious.
After he openly came out against the Iraq war explaining that the justification was a lie (he was a UN weapons inspector at the time, not just some commentator) he got caught on some noncing charge which I'm still not sure the details of, whether it was legit or whether he was stitched up to discredit him (similar to Wariat it relates to talking to underage girls online).
The justification for his passport being seized is supposedly that after the noncing charge he's meant to give 21 days notice before he leaves the country, though again it's not clear whether he actually did or didn't do it.

This has been ongoing for two years and he's committing a crime here. It's not about increasing pressure. It's about purposefully sabotaging key points in the underground water system to fail systematically. (one failure causes more pressure on another area, which causes a failure, which causes more pressure on another, leading to another failure, etc.)
And yes, there is literally FOUNTAINS of water pouring all over the streets of Atlanta. Businesses are ruined.
