2017-05-17 at 2:55 AM UTC in The Autism Quotient Test - Everyone here should seriously take it.
Originally posted by Malice Have you honestly never taken it before? I genuinely believe you may be afraid of the truth. I hope you realize how incredibly irrational you're being, which is completely out of alignment of how you attempt to portray yourself, your natural predispositions, and your ideal self.
Just go for it. It can really help you understand yourself, explain a lot about your life/past, and avoid future issues, know how to handle certain things you have problems with.
So not taking a 50 question internet test called "Autism Spectrum Quotient" is "incredibly irrational"?

Hate to break it to you, but misunderstandings in language like this tend to be a common sign of being on the spectrum. I felt there was a pretty clear pattern/theme to the test.

Originally posted by Malice Oh, and one more thing, I have literally taken 10mg of etizolam just to be able to get through my first psych appointment alright. I wasn't excessively drowsy and I didn't pass out, it just made me feel far closer to normal.
And that's just for a single dose.
Have you ever drunk 5 liters of box wine and a liter of brandy in a single day and been perfectly fine, just relaxed and sedated? Well that's literally what I was doing at some points, and I wasn't stumbling around drunk and incoherent.
I've told you, man, it's been confirmed that there is literally a deficit in the GABAergic pathway. Why do you think the comorbidity with epilepsy is one of the highest there is? It's about 25% for those with full blown autism, that's enormously higher than the general population. Even I may be at serious risk of developing episodes.
Have you heard of this interesting phenomenon in humans researchers have recently found out about? It's where healthy patients take some psychoactive substance on a regular basis and experience diminished effects over time. Research is still preliminary, but some researchers have taken to calling it "tolerance". Here, let me dig up some research journals on it for you. -

Can't be that bad, the risk of benzo/alcohol combo is passing out and throwing up right? Four shots sure isn't going to make me hurl so I should be in the clear. I ain't afeared of no pussy ass little powder, bitch I'm unkillable.
Originally posted by Kolokol-1 Hey malice are there any good places to order groceries online? Are they cheaper or more expensive than just going to the store?
Amazon has a grocery delivery thing that I've found to be the cheapest, although they have some real reliability issues, at least in my area. They refund anything that isn't delivered but every order has some things missing or the wrong thing. Errors are in your favor but if you buy shit for recipes you almost have to reorder at least once to actually get everything.
Safeway does their own delivery, and the price matches what's in-store but I find they're the most expensive of the set I've tried, just because safeway is expensive I guess.
Instacart is currently the best grocery delivery service IMO. They shop at different stores, some will be the same price as in-store and some won't so you'll want to check what's available to you (varies by locality) and if there's markup. I've found they're a lot more reliable than Amazon, and costco is one of the stores so you don't need a membership to buy cheap giganigga quantities of stuff. -
2017-04-01 at 6:42 AM UTC in Attn: Everyone, we're getting mods! With traffic, and consequently shitposting, on the up and developments in my personal life giving me less time to be involved with the site I've decided to appoint two moderators in order to keep the peace. They'll both be global moderators and have the final say on all ban decisions, having all the same privileges on the site as me (besides being able to appoint new moderators). I know censorship and moderation have been delicate subjects on the forums so to assuage fears I've decided to pick from opposite corners of the userbase as to avoid a situations where moderators gang up on a particular user. As such I'm appointing Sophie and -Spectral as our new global mods. I trust these two to be stewards of the site and generally improve the quality of content here to where it deserves to be.
Please welcome these two to their new moderator positions! -

Easiest of all is to just ignore everything you post. The only reason I'm still reading this thread is because the continuous outpouring of hatred towards you makes me laugh. Seeing people take steaming textual shits all over you really makes me proud of this community. -

2017-05-12 at 7:36 PM UTC in Only pedos will appreciate thisI'd suck Camus' dick, just saying.
Honestly my favorite piece of his writing is Summer in Algiers which is like 10 pages or something. It's not even close to philosophy, it's just like unmetered poetry. It's usually published with The Myth of Sisyphus, at the end of the book. It's funny because if you read them both in that order you finish the latter and the natural response is "that's what the last hundred-some pages should have been", like there are even passages in Myth where Camus is basically like "this essay is bullshit, what pretentious shit" and then you read Summer and you realize that's what he was talking about, the contrast highlights how the former is, at best, a springboard in more poetic forms.
Originally posted by RisiR † I don't like it which is weird because I actually like Mechas but I can't really get into it. There's also too many versions. I'd rather watch some old school Power Rangers.
Hellsing was ok and Fullmetal Alchemist, as well. Bleach had some good fights and I really like Miyazaki's work and Grave of the Fireflies.
