ugh, dreamforce is pretty awful too. Worse actually, I am constitutionally incapable of imagining anyone of those blue-name-tag-wearing wankers has a life beyond being a sales zombie. Tempted to push them in front of a bus when I'm standing at a crosswalk. I hate them because they are a horrific mirror, my own wretched aspect reflected in their bright faces and empty minds. Worse even than WWDC wherein I can see which segment of my social circle feigns any sort of depth and the hollowness of their charming traits of character, at least that I can fantasize is some kind of disgusting proclivity, like if someone told you they were into auto-genital-mutilation, something they indulge in briefly but may come out of for their interaction with me. Salesforce people though, there is no redemption for them, they've crossed the event horizon for emotional recognition as moral agents.

Oh hey, fleet week, the time of year when everyone in the bay area rushes to my favorite part of the city to shit it up and dipshits in airplanes burn a bunch of fossil fuel to accomplish nothing.

My first reaction was "fuck these faggots, slowing down transit and making all this fucking noise while I try to work" but then I realized there are humans enjoying themselves I guess, I'm sure one or more desk jocks took the day off to spend some time with their kids or something. It may be stupid and thoroughly unpleasant to me but it's probably a highlight for someone else and there's some kind of vicarious satisfaction to be found in that. Maybe it isn't so bad.

it's one prepetual shitshow, never stopping or starting, protean by nature the shitshow is ever shifting and each moment is unique, atomic, ineffable and yet inseparable from the fluid oozing stream of feces ever on display

shut up spectral, no one gives a shit. About whatever bullshit you think you're talking about and really anything you say more generally.

Wasn't really a fan, didn't seem to fit the general motif to me. If we're talking about OP/EDs then the two criteria for good are under 2 minutes and having a good hook (it's not high art), the latter of which isn't there.

Specifically what are you referring to? You're a leftist comp sci major who works in SF, you probably have among the worst grasps of how people work you can find.

The part where you tell people things they don't want to here, especially in a "dominant" way, and then expect them to like you.

Fortunately men don't lose their attractiveness/desirability as they age like women do, up to a certain point. Imagine going to a university with a massively skewed gender ratio, in a major like psychology that already has an overall largely skewed gender ratio, but isn't associated with femininity. Dominate the class with the masculinity you radiate, being unafraid to espouse controversial opinions, and you could attain a harem level experience with plenty of comedy included.

That's, uhh, not how people work bro

I'm planning to cross cocaine, heroin, and meth of my drug to-do list, it doesn't cost much for enough to properly sample them, particularly considering I dislike high doses of things and can have high sensitivity to drugs (I recall the amount of 2-FMA you were using seeming absurd to me.).

I'm particularly interested in seeing how well low dose cocaine works for productivity. I think I posted some studies from r/DrugNerds or nootropics about methylphenidate, the most interesting one being how it prevents the depletion of will power (IIRC this may have been their own words). There may also be some neuroprotectant properties as well, as with methamphetamine (and likely analogs. I would predict 2-FMA may be superior in this regard due to it's considerably lower effect on norepinephrine).

As for the effect on will power depletion, it reminded me of how some people in latin america chew coca leaves while on long hikes/climbs. This effect may be particularly beneficial, aside from the stimulatory effect.

The shorter duration would be a benefit as well to me, as you aren't particularly productive at all hours during the time you're under the influence of a longer acting drug. Skip lunch, let's you sleep much more easily.

The thought of a programmer in the financial industry in SF who became hooked on cocaine after taking the advice of someone online to trial it for productivity is hilarious.

When did I say how much 2-FMA I was taking? I've only once gone on a bit of a bender (not even that bad, culminating in the mcdonalds adventure) with stims unless you count like when I found out the merciless of coffee and stayed up for half a week. Seemingly naturally high tolerance may play into it as well.

Anyway, I'm sure it's happened before. Folks around here are big into nootropics, I'm sure plenty have managed to get themselves hooked on phenibut or something similar.

    I know, right?

I think I'm going to view the highest rated ecchi of all time next. The sexual situations/humor and fanservice can be pretty amusing if done right. Anyone who's bothered by what they interpret as the objectification and demeaning of women can go suck a dick.

Never watched an ecchi series I liked, not objectification so much as it's a genre defined by a low brow narrative device. Hmm, MAL lists No Game No Life as the top rated ecchi series (although there's a natural skew towards recent series). I didn't consider it ecchi, although there are elements of it there, plot was middling but the comedy was fairly punchy and the art direction was 10/10. "Pizza man bangs coed" doesn't offend me, it's just bad writing.

Also OPM was way better than I was expecting going in. Easily the best series of the year, hyped for S2

Yo, malice, yo pedagogy game be straight up weak. What exactly has convinced you understand what is and isn't required for a productive career in professional mathematics?

Anyway, I do very little learning via internet these days. I'll play the occasional game of wiki golf but almost all my reading is physical format. When programming I use dash for refrence material and anki works offline so there's no real need for an internet connection for productivity (I usually get more done if I have no internet connection or am on mobile data or something). Most of the time I'm in a browser on the internet I'm shitposting and/or in some cringy internet argument

Fuck you Lanny! Your kind will take any opportunity to silence your ideological opponents, fascist cucks. You should be violently exterminated!

Yeah man, I shut down dissenting opinions using coercive force at every opportunity. Don't say things I don't agree with, totally words I live by

More humorous to me is that Akamai dropped him on it. Their whole business model is supposed to be dealing with exactly this kind of situation.

God I hate arguing with autists.

1.) I do not dispute this, the commas denote separate items. Honestly, this is so self-apparent, as if I would commit that manner of error.

I didn't treat the content between commas as the same item. I took the phrase "only fulfills a need that had no need to exist" as pertaining to the list containing the three items "happiness you achieve", "anything you discover or create", and "the striving to maintain and better life".

If that was not the way you intended your sentence to be parsed then you wrote it wrong. Specifically if "only fulfills a need that had no need to exist" only pertains to one of those items then the other two form sentence fragments, noun phrases floating out in the void. I think you actually do this more than you realize, it's not uncommon to see you start listing things and then just end the sentence without making it as much.

If that was the way you intended your comment to be read then my response is valid: if there exists happiness that doesn't represent fulfilling some need then your statement "happiness you achieve ... only fulfills a need that had no need to exist" is false.

2.) Duh. I'm not a solipsist. What I was stating is that for you, which no longer exists, it does not and is incapable of making any difference. That is, at that point there is no reward, death erases all, from the abstract vantage point of your identity.

That doesn't seem like a very natural reading but, uhh, ok. Could you explain why it (that is striving to better the world or help others) doesn't mean anything. Indeed, people who undertake such endeavors seem convinced it means quite a lot.

3.) This is simply tied to the previous point. You do not deny that many people seem to believe in some independent system (The moronic misinterpretation of karma seems to be popular among leftists. IIRC ArmsMerchant once described it's common use/interpretation as being a form of "God's going to get you for that.") that will reward them after death. I am attempting to illustrate the vanity of life in a manner that is readily relatable to the masses.

Then why offer it here? Who reading you post do you think believes in some kind of post-mortem reward for their deeds? Why would this serve to convince anyone the anti-natalist position is valid?

4.) Once again, duh. And by crude hedonism I mean a poorly developed (subjective) philosophy on which one manners their lifestyle after.

Well OK, "duh", but it doesn't change the fact that your statement doesn't do anything to advance your thesis, just unrelated nothing thrown out there. Anitnatalism represents the refutation of any argument that concludes one or more human lives are justified, attacking one such argument (that no one here seems to represent) doesn't do anything.

It would be like if took the argument "ducks imply no life is worth living; ducks; ergo no life is worth living" and illustrated a some sort of flaw in it, and then declared that any human life is worth living. It's absurd.
