People have been saying that there are "Legitimate arguments for governments to engage in humanitarian effort around the world". Remember "Operation Warp Speed" when the FDA gave manufacturers free reign to develop technology with no oversight or regulations? Yes we all know the vaccine KILLED 6 MILLION and made everyone gay and sterile but 99% of statisticians agree that it generally worked so there you go. Less government = Better Medicine
In fact most of the history of bad medicine was because of government regulations behind bad practices in the first place. As soon as science outpaces the ability of governments or olde Europe empires to crush it is when we get things like eradication of disease and the discovery of germ theory (also a lot of those things are because of the church and NOT government investment)
