Best plumbing material?

   Fonaplats victim of incest [daylong jump-start that nome]
   Planning on ripping out the copper in my walls as it's 60 years old and there's already access to it.
   
   What is the best choice of material to replace it with?
   I don't much care to solder.
   
   I was thinking to try pex as it seems cheap and easy to work with.
   
   Suggestions?

   YOu can use Cyclohexanone to make PCP clandestinely so if you start a PVC factory you have a legal reason to order 500kg of it.
