Law enforcement officers are investigating whether a retired federal agent had about 30 minutes advance notice of a white supremacist's plans to murder Black people at a Buffalo supermarket, two law enforcement officials told The Buffalo News.
Authorities believe the former agent – believed to be from Texas – was one of at least six individuals who regularly communicated with accused gunman Payton Gendron in an online chat room where racist hatred was discussed, the two officials said.
it's worth noting that the article says '30 minutes warning', this means that he created the livestream 30 minutes before doing a shooty. he'd been talking about his plans for weeks, and if 'ex' federal agents were in his chat, they would've known about it long before it happened.

This is nothing new. Racism is rampant in the US, and it includes every walk of life. This is no reflection on the FBI, the guy was retired. This reflects poorly on him and whoever else may have known this was coming.

That sort of inbuilt prejudice becomes inbuilt and becomes inbuilt. Therefore it becomes real.
