I kinda just want them to throw my body in the forest somewhere, but if they've gotta have a lil shindig to mourn me (not that many people would really want to), I think deciding on music for the event is probably the most important thing anyone can do for themselves. You may be 19 and think you're going to live forever, but on the off chance that you don't... that's the one thing you should probably get in order.
I think the thing that fucks me up is nobody who'd throw a funeral for me actually knows about me? It'd have to be my parents, and that's basically just a perfunctory act in the process of their mourning. Any family who showed up would show up for their sake. So if I choose a song, it will be the only thing anyone there really has to connect with me - the person who actually died. That's simultaneously weak af and also a kind of infinite power over their emotions. They will only care about who I actually was insofar as it relates to my parents' mourning, but a significantly emotional song can fucking break them and at least remind them that I was a person once. *sigh*

I'd like to do this, but funerals aren't for the dead. They're for the living. It's like writing in your will "don't cry that I'm dead" - it's just a massive imposition upon the living, and probably actively harmful for them.
This is top of my list, but nothing is set in stone I guess. I used to listen to Blind Melon on my phone and quietly sing along when I was homeless and panhandling. Not quite busking, really, I wasn't a performer, but I'd get more money when I was fucked up enough to do that.

Basically: if you can find a song you like on YouTube, and there are just DEPRESSING FUCKING COMMENTS as far as the eye can see, it's a good song for a funeral.
