And Gadzooks, I'd bet money any study saying men in a no- exercise test group is referring to actually lifting weights at home or a gym. It's not taking into account what those people do for a living.

You have to lift some kind of weight to add any noticeable muscle mass.

Sure you might put on weight and appear bigger but that's about it.

yes. you ABSOLUTELY do. you are dead wrong about that.

every little change in your hormones changes the shape and quality of your body. how the fuck do you think trannies start looking like fags when they take estrogen? did you know that one tiny little alteration in your chemistry, namely inhibition of myostatin, can make you into a fucking super mutant?

the reality is that exercise, hypertrophy, and changing the shape/density of your tissues do not work AT ALL like you think they do. i hope you don't have some personal fitness goal that you're trying to achieve with your high school level of knowledge of biology.

i don't work any harder than i have for the last ten years, the only thing that changed was i started putting ecdysterones in my body. when i did that, my muscles became larger and my bones bones became denser, i began healing faster and sleeping better.

you could not be more wrong. that is not how living organisms work.

Man, snab_snib is clearly either a troll or a moron, or possibly both, but there's nothing wrong with conceding this one here.

    He's actually right about this.

Among the men in the no-exercise groups, those given testosterone had greater increases than those given placebo in muscle size in their arms (mean [±SE] change in triceps area, 424±104 vs. -81±109 mm2; P<0.05) and legs (change in quadriceps area, 607±123 vs. -131±111 mm2; P<0.05) and greater increases in strength in the bench-press (9±4 vs. -1±1 kg, P<0.05) and squatting exercises (16±4 vs. 3±1 kg, P<0.05).

They actually showed measurable increases in muscle mass. And these aren't just anecdotes. This was an effect on multiple subjects in a study.

To assume that any of them were secretly working out is kinda paranoid and cynical.

Or that their jobs happen to be particularly strenuous.

That would just be a weird coincidence if those randomly assigned to the no steroids group all just happened to secretly be longshoremen or whatever.

Lol no. Read up on androgen receptors and why when you stop taking steroids you lose some of your gains.

you mean when you alter your hormonal disposition, your body changes as well? i don't think you know it but you just realized that actually, hormones DO determine your morphology. you just admitted that changing the hormones changes the body.

life, as in the universe of animated organic matter, is a dark, spooky world full of strange rabbit holes. most of what you've been told about your biological existence is basically just motivational euphemisms.

What I'm telling you is it's not true muscle mass. Just because you chalk your muscles to the brim with androgen receptors doesn't mean you suddenly and magically have more muscle. To actually gain true muscle mass you have to build off of that state.

'true muscle mass' are you joking.

"yeah dude, you see that guy over there? it's not real muscle mass. it's just an illusion. like a jedi mind trick. it's not actually there."

i usually take 2 pills every night before bed of the ecdysterones. if i feel extra sore, i take more.

i also take turmeric/pepper, ceyanne, ashwaganda, gotu kola, 4-aco-dmt, st. johns wort, phenylpiracetam, aniracetam, coluoracetam, centrophenoxidine, choline, uridine, arginine, vitamin D, vitamin C, magnesium, iodine, nigella sativa, and i cycle bromantane vs cyclazadone off and on. i figure all that is equal to a serving of veggies, so i only really eat beef and dairy otherwise, but i don't eat at all at least two days a week. once a week i take phenibut.

i feel pretty fucking great all the time.

i think of it as a rarified diet. something like bread is mostly just lead, it's gross matter with very little finer compounds.

the smaller the mass of your diet with the greater the concentration of rarified nutrients and compounds, the greater your sense of health and competency will be. i believe hippocrates was right when he said there's no such thing as food, only medicine. they say that you live on a quarter of what you eat, and your doctor lives on the other three quarters. and i fucking hate doctors.

Yeah i need to make a concerted effort to only eat stuff with some solid nutritional value. In a few min im gonna eat a couple handfuls of the chicken jerky i made and toss a crown of broccoli in the microwave to steam. For so long i was so exhausted my body felt like it needed carbs to function. id eat mixing bowls of cereal and a whole loaf of fresh 3 cheese sourdough dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. But its really a vicious cycle eating that way.
