Banks don't keep money in the drawers anymore. They have an ATM they use, just like you do. In order to get money from a teller and their ATM, they have to deposit something or have an account to draw from, just like you would. Banks are the worst possible thing to rob.

Bingos are actually the best. A large bingo could have as much as $60,000-$100,000 near the end of the night. Practically no security. Mostly a bunch of old people.

Whenever I cash my check there is always a drawer and it's full of many bills of many denominations. I'm sure it's not hundreds of thousands of dollars but it isn't some chincy amount either.
I remember once when I was under the influence of techamphetamine and robbing houses I found a big ol jar of change in someone's room and ended up walking to the bank to cash it in. On the way there the jar broke through the plastic sack I was carrying it on and shattered on the ground in a parking lot I was in, and I spent like 2 hours crawling around trying to get every last nickel and penny off the ground, which I did.
That has nothing to do with the point of my story but I eventually got all the change to a bank and they were able to cash it for some menial fee like 3% since I wasn't a member. Ended up getting over $750 which was way more than I had guessed.
Anyway when I was at the bank counter they were in the middle of stacking and counting a bunch of money or something, there were just a bunch of stacks of 2k and 5k sitting within arms reach of me and it took everything in my power to not just grab them all and hoof it, especially more so when the lady went to the other room to put my change in the machine. It was all just.. Right there.
But then I looked up and saw the 200 cameras, not that I didn't know they were there anyway, and I decided against it. But I was close, real real close, probably because of the tech but I'll never forget it.
Now I don't ever see loose monies like that sitting out, but I do still see it in their drawers. Bank drawers, mind you.
Yeah I saw like 10k once at my local bank in crackshackville (5000 population) I knew it was roughly 10k because they had a money counter that said '100' and it was all $100 bills and there was bundles of every other denomination in plastic next to it.
The only other time I ever saw that much cash was in my girlfriends dad's closet when I was 16.
