   psychedelics and other drugs can. going sober (or pretty close to it) from being a total junkie also did it pretty hard for like a month. i guess those were really the only times it was overwhelming, other times i can feel it strongly where it occupies my mind for a while usually while i am thinking of someone, either romantic partner or a really good friend who helped you out a lot or something

   For me it's like watching the tank guy in Tainanmen Square or thinking about the Hong Kong protestors, no Asian. Or tons of other stuff that just at random will hit me like "This guy, or these people are fighting that innately human fight to be free... and that hits me smack dab in the soul and I might even feel manly pre-tears because that is something that like, how can not feel strong empathy for that?

   yea, i can definitely see why so many tweakers are aggressive/violent. on day 3 of doing meth your mood is like "lets commit a crime"

   Only time i ever felt overwhelming empathy, was when i had PAWS from fentanyl. It was kind of ridiculous.
