The ultimate nature of reality is information

2019-05-14 at 3:21 PM UTCPeople are made of molecules, which are made up of atoms, which are made up of the elementary particles, which are made up of the fundamental particles, which are made up of...?
Fundamental particles like quarks are truly fundamental in terms of the "physical". For example quarks cannot exist by themselves due to a phenomenon called colour confinement: if you try to break 2 quarks apart, you have to out in a lot of energy, but that point of breaking the bond is... exactly identical to making a new quark for each one you are breaking apart to pair with. So they just generate new quarks to hang out with. They literally can't exist by themselves.
So the question of whether or not they are fundamental is more "do they have any internal structure?" Or are they just little fundamental blobberinos that are made of nothing but themselves?
Well they are fundamental blobberinos, and the nature of their blobberinoness is that they are actually simply informational perturbations in certain mathematical fields, quantum fields. That's what reality truly is: 3 dimensions of space (spacetime) that have certain framings (electroweak fields, strong field, gravitational field that interacts with or is identical to spacetime) that interact with each other under certain conditions. -
2019-05-14 at 3:30 PM UTCInfinity extends in both directions. There is no end to either the micro or the macro. Man can never discover all there is to discover. Knowledge itself is literally endless.

2019-05-14 at 4:49 PM UTCDoesn't need for there to be any limit to the micro for it to be described to infinite precision by quantum field theory.

2019-05-14 at 5:48 PM UTCArtists, scientists, and mystics who glimpse spirits dimly through the Veils of Maja limn a projection of the eternal entities into the human dimensions of literature, theatre, music, dance, architecture, engineering, philosophy, mathematics, justice, politics, morality --- in a word, culture. Like pictorial art, all cultural artifacts compress hyperspacial structures into fewer dimensions so that ideas are represented in more or less tangible forms. The form is the specialized language of its poet and the meaning of the form is the essence of the myth.

Let's say you take an apple and cut it in half. Then you take one of the halves and cut it in two. Then you take a piece of that and cut it in two. And so on. Will there ever come a point where you can no longer divide the remaining piece? Nope. For every particle, there is a smaller particle, and for that particle, there is a smaller one; you will never come to a point where there is nothing there. -

There will with a quark. The quark has no internal structure to any energy level we can test. -
2019-05-14 at 6:02 PM UTCYou will reach the point where there are two quarks, cut the quark pair in half and simply get two quark pairs.

2019-05-14 at 6:45 PM UTCIt's endless. Same as space. The galaxies go on and on to infinity, forever.
-
2019-05-14 at 6:48 PM UTCAll Infinities can be bounded.
-
2019-05-14 at 7:13 PM UTCCan't be bounded, but they can be nullified and then renewed. In the blink of an eye. It's all coming down the pipe.

2019-05-15 at 9 PM UTCAll of QFT essentially explains reality as a beautiful geometry. That's all reality is, it is maths. all these fields are interacting in this lovely, complicated vibrations that congeal into one dimensional strings that arrange themselves into this complicated, lovely universe as one of many possibilities, one that can possibly support observers like ourselves to ponder it.
Outside of our conscious perception, and the reality we plot for our intersubjective experience therein and call "science", is simply information. It is our perception that shapes it into our particular idea of the world from our perspective.
Perhaps all of reality is simply a Platonic object, a supreme equation with grand complications that just so happen to include a set of conscious observers with the capacity to perceive the equation from the inside, see data in gross from a specific point of view, and in doing so give it beauty and sorrow in their representation. Perhaps the fabric of reality as such is just woven from our strange loop within it. Without this perception, it is just a meaningless tide. Without a perceiver, time has no meaning. We are a momentary pause in the unobserved flow of the river, a crashing wave that rolls so it may reflect upon itself. And yet it ever marches onward, even as we perceive it.
As we grasp the present moment, it slips away. It is the great wheel governing the interaction of these fields, and the rise of complexity in the universe.
From dust we are formed and to emptiness and dust we shall return. -
2019-05-15 at 9:28 PM UTCAll of reality is like music. Frequencies. Waves of reality.
-
2019-05-15 at 9:36 PM UTCIt's all math. It's all code. For an absurdly large vagina that we live in.

Did you know that all 3D information can he embedded on a 2D surface? It is called the Holographic Principle, and it is believed that all the information that falls into the black hole, such as all the 3D objects that fall into it, are essentially relativistically smeared out onto the surface of the black hole. The surface area to volume of a black hole are related as any other sphere is: the volume increases cubically as the surface area increases by a square factor.
There is another implication to this fact: imagine that there is an info items amount of mass in a black hole. Well, the volume and surface area are going to reach a point where their growth is proceeding at an infinitely small rate and approaching but never reaching some finite or possibly bounded infinite number. Perhaps all of existence is simply smeared on the face of some ever expanding black hole, that we call the universe. Perhaps it s this gravitational attraction that is growing the black hole and increasing the surface area at a differential rate to growing the volume, which generates dark energy. -

Works of art are a special kind of physical machinery that projects higher-dimensional structures into lower-dimensional spaces for some convenience of perceiving. You can see the way art performs this function by applying the rules of optical perspective to represent a three-dimensional structure on a plane surface.
The art of mathematics presents alternative aspects in the form of tautological equations, each expressing the view from a different frame of reference, such as a=lw, l=a/w, and w=a/l to describe the two-dimensional structure of a square by one- dimensional semantics. All the codices of mathematical equations express different views of the single hyperspacial entity known as the universe; our comprehension of the universal structure is far from complete.
Artists have a vocation to express their perceptions of hyperspacial realities from every point of view that man can reach, at every different time that man can live in, to provide us with handles on universal truths. All the myths and all the religions present us with different pictures of the same hyperspacial entity, and that entity is ourselves.
