why do browsers assume that i want to be polite to random sites?

2019-02-06 at 12:43 PM UTCeverytime i get one of these goddamn notifications from a website telling me that it wants to send me notifications and the only two opions i get are "allow notifications" and "not now." i don't know why they'd just ASSUME that i wouldn't want to "hurt the websites feelings" by "letting it down softly" like "maybe one day we will grow closer and i will allow notifications" is ever really going to fucking happen.

Me either. Sites seem way too keen for me to allow them, which makes me suspicious.
Basically:
Some people like notifications on their phone from facebook, news sites, etc. Not even human interactions. Which seems to me to be incredibly sad. -

thats their polite way of saying you dont hava a choice.
