if you only have half an hour to kill, spending half an hour trying to survive 5 stars wanted level is pretty fun.
Most game nowadays try to fit a mission into less than half an hour. Longer ones are usually pretty clearly telegraphed to the player by NPCs telling you to be ready and it's going to be a big deal.
No one is interested in long story lines nowadays besides the NEETS, who have very little money anyway. The MOON PERSONs all have jobs, and the Zoomers are too busy playing Fortnight. -
