    So are the providers sticking it to the customers because they can, or because their networks are incapable of serving everyone at a higher level?

    not enough information to say for sure but I think the fire department was on a residential plan with restrictions to upload speeds in the fine print and refused to pay more for commercial

    I don't really see what it has to do with net neutrality

    That's exactly right. They want to pinch pennies and put public safety at risk, but on the other hand, they want to cry and whine about how mistreated they are. Classic little shitbirds, and they're not the only ones.
