I just can't seem to water my ferns enough. lol, any advice?
2018-07-21 at 1:42 PM UTC
My ferns are struggling too and my begonias died. Heat is too much for them.

If potted -- set ferns in larger baskets that have watering trays attached at bottom. Invert a plastic bottle (cola) filled with water, that has a hole drilled in the lid, into the fern container.
Refilled bottle often.
Voila! Lush, green, healthy ferns.
Begonias -- same technique -- more shade than sun (they are finicky)

They are super finicky. I had them mostly in the shade but I think the high heat just zapped them.
My ground ferns are fine. My hanging ferns are struggling. Water them everyday but still they aren’t loving the heat.
My crown of thorns is doing really good but they like full sun and are drought tolerant.

I, personally, have never had a Christ Thorn but I believe they are relatively easy to care for.
Being a hearty house plant they don't really require much: just love, a sunny window, and most house temps, and water.
They are a beautiful plant.
Do you know what the belief is about how many blossoms any particular plant branch exhibits?

Yes, I’m in the south. It’s pretty standard to hang ferns on patios here. I should clarify that the ferns don’t hate “heat”. They are getting some direct sunlight in the morning which has caused bald spots lol. They have new growth though so there’s that.

Cannabis Sativa or the less common.......Cannabis Ruderalis
