    I know I'm not imagining that I saw a Ren and Stimpy cartoon episode some years back (like 2011) showing a very R if not X rated Ren and Stimpy episode.
    
    
    I always thought there was added adult humor into the kids versions. I would watch it on Prozac (like 1990-92?)and try and understand why it was so filthy and why he was making it for kids.
    
    My wife who would sit in with me and watch it at times said She didn't see what was so dirty. and then told me it was all in my head.
