This sounds like the sort of thing I thought was going on when I ate a box of motion sickness pills.
Maybe find the girl and open with "was it you that was telling me about a guy with a black hat the other day?" - I wouldn't be surprised if she had no recollection of it.
You may need to think about this, OP. If some of your conversations were imagined and people witnessed you talking to someone that wasn't there, it could explain why people act the way they do toward you.
The same thing used to happen to me when I was sleep deprived and/or under extreme stress. -

you don't even know that he's paranoid. And I've actually given him some good advice a few pages back. And who knows maybe people really are talking about him... its a fact of life that people do that and he should be prepared to handle that in the work place instead of us sugar coating everything for him. -

Lol, that's not how it works. If you get a not guilty verdict the state has no reason to put you on the registry because as far as it's concerned you didn't do anything criminal.
