the conservative does indeed say "less" government... insofar as you mean "less taxes" and "less gun control". the conservative does not, in fact, say "less government" when it comes to abortion, or fags getting married, or marijuana however. indeed the conservative was not saying "less government" when it came time to give the black man the right to vote, nor was the conservative saying "less government" when the PATRIOT Act was signed into law. The conservative doesn't want "less government", not really.
the one's who really say "less government" and who actually mean it, the ones who say "get your hand out my pocket, man" and mean it, the ones who actually want people to control their own destinies? their ideology isn't one of the two flavors of centrist, their ideologies all start with anarcho- because they are anarchists and they want there to be so much "less government" that the government more or less fucks off entirely.
