I'm trying to get rid of all the bloatware Verizon has preinstalled on my phone.
Researching what to do I came across this,

    https://www.reddit.com/r/LGV60/comments/qnnkln/what_am_i_supposed_to_use_to_flash_stock_firmware/hkazimt/

    and downloaded this,

    https://drive.google.com/u/0/uc?id=12xHyUqXxKy80CSbRPhsWr8wb9lQKWuHA&export=download

And it is a .exe file that when opened looks like this,

Which has no instructions and so I simply installed it directly to my desktop.
And now I am at this point,

Obviously I click the green button right?
Well I did that and it prompted me to "connect your phone first retard"

and so I'm off to get my fona fone...

probably restart then run the flasher again, the install would've added the driver files for the flasher to recognise the phone but hasn't loaded them yet

Requirements to flash Stock ROM with LG Flash
A Windows Computer to execute the application.
    ADB and fastboot driver installation.
Download LG Flash Tool latest version from the given download links.
Megalock.dll file to replace in the file location.
Installation of the latest version of device USB driver software.
Collect a USB data cable that better suite with your smartphone.

you need to download and install the Android SDK (or just adb/guestbook drivers if you know how), no idea about the megalock thing

Anyways, I feel like I got pretty far and downloaded a fuck ton of fuck testing this and that but I try to download the kdz file and it shows up as a 6gb file called 12115 or some shit but the LGup software is looking for a bin file and anyways, I made a video of what I have done and tried thus far.
Will post as soon as it uploads.

Plugged my cable into every damn port only to find out my phone has to be in download mode.
Figure out I hold volume up abd plug the cord in while its shut off to do that.

Right now Im stuck trying to figure out what the damn file is that I need and how to fiddle with it.

the kdz file is the actual firmware, it's what needs to be written to the phone

the software and drivers just facilitate that

Is your bootloader unlocked? The bootloader is a security system that stops unauthorised changes to the phones ROM.
    https://www.alphr.com/check-bootloader-is-unlocked/

Some phones come with a bootloader you can unlock from developer options, but if you bought your phone directly from a network they may have locked the phone down so you can't upgrade your own OS.
