Dead by Daylight, the online game has licensed a bunch of movie monsters, the most recent of which being Pinhead, including some of his most iconic lines... like 'you opened the box... I CAME!'

apparently the studio wasn't too fond of the I CAME jokes, because all his voice lines got removed and the developers say they can't legally talk about it.

now most of the steam reviews are negative with the common theme being I CAN'T CAME

People still see people walking around at night that I guess don't exist. it's down in San Jose somewhere. I went there as a kid. stairs leading to dead ends. doors that you open and it's like a shallow closet but looks like a large bedroom door. everything I vaguely recall was oversize and very expensive oak and mahogany paneling like most Victorians have.

the paneling alone was worth half the construction cost.

  7. It was just dumb but not even campy dumb, which you expect from Halloween, but it was just dumb as fuck. And it was unnecessarily gory which I also hated bc that’s not true to Halloween.

that's the kind of halloween i was raised on.

i remember in the 90s all the neighbors would try to 'out-gore ' each other with their lawn decorations.

    Pussy

The only scenes that got me were the knife in the armpit FUCK just imagine the pain

    And the eye gouging

Some of the hospital scenes were retarded but I liked the scene where he fucked a whole fire crew up like a bad ass and the ending was sweet too fucking that typical American up with his own baseball bat

And he really beat the crap out of that kid on the stairs slowly making him suffer before breaking his neck
  10. The first responder scene didn’t bother me and eye gouging scene was pretty true to Halloween. The knife in armpit is pretty Michael Myers too. I hated the rest, especially the staircase scene. Fucking reminded me of Rob Zombie who can choke on a dick and die. The original movies just weren’t that way and the gore was out of place to me. Started off ok but just tanked.

Yeah, mikey going all the one (2001) on firemen then the vigilantes was oddly satisfying and cool. Maybe because we've had god knows how many films of being like "isn't he just a built dude with a knife, why is he so hard to kill?".

There was a lot of sloppy really unnecessary writing though. The whole other mental patient who everyone thinks is MM for no reason was 100% unnecessary to the plot. Absolutely zero plot relevance, tied into nothing, and not even good on its own. They gay didn't really need to exist either. I guess two more dudes for mike to gank but they got a lot of characterization for mooks.

Also they mention the psycho doc like three times but never explored that like at all, which was a super cool angle in the last film and never explored and I assumed it was going to be integral to the followup.

It was tragedy, not horror, because in 2018 we finally got a focused, well executed film that carried on in the spirit 1978 and the stage was set to start having sequels that exist in continuity and capture and expand on the original but instead Green gives us season of the witch part two, got damn.

Oh we are talking about the movie franchise not the holiday. Go crazy with decorations I love it.

People have stated that parents didn't allow their children to go t or t because of the poison scare of marijuana laced thc candy being passed out or I guess of covid. Shit like that.

And a lot of mainland Chinese who move in or first gen just don't seem to be into it. They'll pass it out but not many take their kids out it seems.

It's sad because it comes off as a dying custom. It's not really a holiday is it?

Are there even a lot of families in San Fran that would trick or treat? I would suspect not…

Maybe in outlying suburbs? We had more trick or treaters this year than last. I don’t think it’s a dying custom.

It used to be no in some districts however by 2015 or so, married tech workers having kids suddenly there was a surge in neighborhoods. I started doing Uber around that time and was happy to see this.

But there is this one part of the upper Castro going towards twin peaks that you'll see shitloads of Halloween then Christmas lights except one large multiple block area of homes that almost everyone is blacked out.making you wonder if there is a star wars theme in that one wealthy district high above the rest.
