My sister works for him. He is just a businessman now. A few years ago his seed website was medical only and could only sell to license approved growers but now he's gone big business with the large scale growers, part of the legal supply chain.
They used to sell papaver soniferum and ephedrine seeds on the website but it's all weed now.

Some people seem to hate him here. I dunno. As far as I'm concerned, he martyred himself for the cause and won. Going to US prison for simply exposing loop holes in US customs, not breaking any of their laws. US websites export thousands of items overseas which are illegal in their destination countries. It's not the sellers's responsibility to know the laws of every country they export items to.
Else for example, I could order a balisong knife from a US website, and press criminal charges against them in Canada for sending it here. Have them extradited for sending an illegal knife into my country. But that's not how it works. It's up to customs in the receiving country to return any products that are illegal to the shipper's return address.
Marc Emery got extradited to US prison for not breaking a single law. If that's not a human rights abuse, I don't know what is.
