Would like to hear a direct response to OPs question, poppy water is gross, a powder extract I could gelcap would be nice.

IDK, if I was going to take a shot in the dark I'd try water in a pan and throw it in the oven at <200 deg, see if I could evaporate water in a couple of hours without rendering it inert. I didn't think of everclear, probably more feasible in less time at lower temps so it makes sense. I don't know if there'd be any alcoholic residue left, I wouldn't think so but I don't know, so I'd be a little nervous about potentiation there.

Post Socialist Theory is too complex to be understood with one extract

follow black magic recipe and smoke it

Opioids dissolve best in water but any polar solvent will do. Ethanol is a polar solvent but if i am not mistaken lipids dissolve better in alcohol than in water, so when you do a poppy seed extraction with it you will get more fatty/oily compounds as well. This won't really matter if you are making a tincture(A concentrated alcohol based extract) but if you mean to evaporate all the solvent you will be left with these lipids as well. This will prevent it from becoming a powder and thus you will have a more opium like substance. Which is pretty cool, you can even try to smoke it if you have a large enough amount. Also the most important alkaloids that will be present will be codeine, morphine and thebaine. There is a good chance that you will have more thebaine than with normal opium because poppy plants made for the seeds specifically generally come from high thebaine/low morphine strains.
Furthermore you can heat up morphine and codeine to around 70 degrees celsius without fear of damaging it. It might be interesting to note a good amount of bacteria are killed at 70 degrees as well. It's about the temperature they use to pasteurize milk.
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this
post didn't die in a fire!

I mean, if I got that resin extract it would basically be opium, wouldn't it? Not opium-like. I don't really care what form its in I just want to stop making tea everytime. It's a process. I mean I could be eating toast instead with that time. Beautiful toast.
I didn't even consider the strain having anything to do with thebaine, but that makes sense and also makes me want to order my seeds from overseas. (inb4 somebody mentions pods)
I don't have a thermometer but it would be pointless to heat it up for evaporation as it'd destroy it since water evaps at 100C. Don't the bacteria release toxins as excrement which wouldn't be destroyed by high temps? That sentence was stranged phrasely.

I'm trying the everclear strategy, gotta do something with this fat bag of seeds and I can't drink the tea anymore. Now my whole apartment smells like strong alcohol and poppy seeds though and it's making me nauseous, bleh

Let me know how it goes and also what your ratios/weights were.
Ferment is the verb you're lookin for. English is fun.
I don't know how much I'd do if I did this. I guess it'd depend on the size of the bag but probably five or six lbs to start with. I probably won't do this though because I am impatient and the inconvenience of tea makes me use less.
Wouldn't eating the opium be pretty bad for you? I know there's the bacteria but then wouldn't the lipids have all sort of nasty stuff like thebaine, the same kind of reasoning behind why you wouldn't want to get high off eating the seeds?

You make a tea because it's easier to drink a cup of nasty water than to eat a pound of seeds.
Thebaine isn't nasty. Just high dosages fuck you up.

Not thebaine my bad I got confused. There's lots of reports of people developing phytobezoars from eating the seeds themselves though.
Also if you're eating an lb you have bad seeds.

Lol that's horrible. Personally I can feel as little as 30g.
