   They did a cost assessment once and determined it would cost more to train a few people how to maintain robots than it ever would just to hire homeless people and not bother with the robots.

   I work in injection molding not excursion molding.
   Basically.
   Little pieces of plastic go through a hopper and into a screw and heat + pressure makes a part. Then the machine opens up and pops the part off with air/ejector bars.
   Then the part comes outta the machine via a conveyer belt.
   Now is where I come in.
   I grab the part and put a couple of stickers on it and put it in a box.
   Wallah!
